Federal 100: Jordan Burris

Name: Jordan Burris
Title: Chief of Staff, Office of the Federal CIO
Organization: Office of Management and Budget

A force for FICAM. Burris joined the White House in 2017 as a consultant, but he was moved by the mission and wanted to contribute more directly. In 2019, he was OMB’s lead on Federal Identity, Credential and Access Management implementation and involved in policies for protecting high-value assets and advancing the Trusted Internet Connections framework. His colleagues also praise his talents as a mentor, a label that makes Burris a bit uncomfortable but seems spot-on. “Whenever I’m meeting anyone,” he told FCW, “my number one thing is to make sure they are getting the most out of their careers or what they want to do.”
