Securing the software factories. The Air Force has built an impressive ecosystem of software factories in the past few years, and Huston has been instrumental throughout the process. After being one of two initial software developers at Kessel Run, he helped ensure the successful launch of Space Camp then turned in late 2019 to Platform One, which is now the Defense Department’s preferred enterprise DevSecOps services provider. As CISO, Huston played a key role in building and securing Kubernetes-based infrastructure as code. One senior Air Force executive called him “one of the most talented software engineers and tech strategists in the Department of Defense.”
