Federal 100: Eileen Vidrine

Name: Eileen Vidrine
Title: Chief Data Officer
Organization: Department of the Air Force

Unlocking the VAULT. Under Vidrine’s leadership, the Air Force developed the Visible, Accessible, Understandable, Linked and Trustworthy self-service data platform in 2019. Its true power, however, became clear in 2020 when the pandemic hit and a large portion of Air Force personnel began working remotely. Employees can easily access VAULT and use its capabilities regardless of location. The platform has also been a critical enabler of COVID-19 reporting efforts. Last year, its users grew from 200 to over 2,000 without any additional developers or staff. With a focus on automated capabilities, Vidrine has worked tirelessly to continually populate VAULT with new features, which are rolled out every two weeks.
