Let this not be a picture of the future of IT

The White House offered a live Internet stream of of a presentation on transforming federal IT. The event was running smoothly, provoking a lively discussion on a Facebook page set up for that purpose, when suddenly the screen went blank and silent..

And stayed blank and silent.

For more than 10 minutes.

“Hopefully this isn’t the future of ‘transforming technology’ = no screen, no sound?” wrote Miranda Leigh on Facebook during the outage.
