The three Rs

The powers that be are proposing rules that would require agencies to keep a closer (and more critical) eye on the incentives paid out for the “3Rs”—recruitment, relocation and retention.

The proposed rules from the Office of Personnel Management—published in today’s Federal Register—would require more frequent review of these incentives, and would impose stricter eligibility requirements on certain recipients.

With your employer squeezing your income from a number of directions as we enter 2011, we’re wondering exactly how much of a factor the 3Rs play in your own revenue stream …
