C-WHAT-O???

OK, I have heard them all now, right? Apparently my cousin's tech company has a CPO -- no, not a chief people officer, but a chief partner officer. This person is apparently responsible for overseeing partnerships with other companies, which sounds suspiciously similar to business development, but... what do I know.
