FCW Insider: When is the Fed 100 deadline? Monday

I'm getting all sorts of calls about the deadline for the Federal 100 awards.

The short answer is NO, it is NOT today (Friday). We will close nominations on Monday, Jan. 7.

As soon as I say that, it spurs people to ask, '"So, what time on Monday?" (We are a deadline culture, aren't we?) As I explained earlier, technically we will unplug everything first thing Tuesday, Jan. 8, but I wouldn't risk getting things in on Tuesday morning unless you're going to post it at 5 a.m. Because we really do have to pull it on Tuesday morning.

I'd love to give everybody more time, but there is a lot of work to do between Tuesday and when the judges meet the next week -- not the least of which is that they have to read all those nominations.

So you have through Monday.
