Naval center seeks information assurance assistance

What: The Naval Surface Warfare Center Corona is seeking a firm fixed price contract for information assurance (IA) certification and accreditation (C&A) support, as well as advanced systems training services.

Why: The Center's Performance Assessment Department must maintain the information assurance certification and accreditation status of its various research and development networks.

In order to preserve its status, NSWC Corona needs independent validation services “to ensure proper security baselines are adequate per guidance,” and the continuous training of its system managers in advanced system support. The solicitation focuses on system security C&A documentation, but also calls for engineering support, technical information assurance and data management. And prospective providers would also have to have certified small-business status.
