Data security threats continue to increase in number and sophistication. The growing use of collaborative technologies – from mobile devices and social media to virtualization and cloud computing – will continue to be one of the most significant factors impacting the security landscape in 2009. The new administration recognizes the very serious threats public and private sector networks face from cybercrime and cyberattack, and so it has elevated cybersecurity to a major administration priority. After Digital Government Institute's highly successful Cyber Security Conference held May 6, and with the administration's increased cyber security focus including new FISMA rules, DGI announces a Cyber Security Symposium to continue the dialog about how to detect, protect, and respond to Cyber threats. This half-day Executive Event is free for government professionals to attend.
