Description: Lean companies are starting to realize that there is a large amount of waste embedded in their non-operations processes, including the IT department and the information systems they support, which impact the entire company. This workshop will provide a framework to enable the IT function to become a working partner with the lean efforts taking place. You’ll be introduced to methods used to identify non-value added activity resulting from your current departmental processes, the data that is collected or not collected, and the information that is distributed. By utilizing the same lean principles and techniques used in operations, this process waste can be changed or eliminated.
