Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center

The National Institutes of Health is dedicated to increasing the number of contracting opportunities awarded to small businesses. In order to meet this goal, NIH’s Office of Acquisition Management and Policy is hosting the 2010 NIH Industry Day Conference, an event designed with small businesses in mind. The June 8 event will provide an occasion for small businesses, including 8(a), HUBZone, Woman-Owned, and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned firms, to network and partner in acquisition opportunities at NIH. The 2010 Industry Day will also be a way to introduce companies to contracting officers and procurement professionals, who will provide their unique insights into small business relationships. Attendees will hear more about upcoming contracting opportunities and have a chance to meet with representatives from exhibiting vendors interested in mentorship or subcontracting arrangements. The 2010 NIH Small Business Industry Day will pave the way for partnerships between and amongst the conference's participants, the NIH and small business specialists in attendance, and the exhibitors that have been invited to give insight about how their companies have thrived in the government contracting arena. Specific benefits of the 2010 Industry Day include – Expert Opinions: Keynote speakers and VIP attendees will provide insight into their relationships with small businesses, while NIH Program Managers will forecast anticipated areas of opportunity. Your Questions – Answered: Procurement Officers, Contracting and Project Officers, and Program Managers will answer your specific questions about building and maintaining business relationships with NIH's 27 Institutes and Centers. Networking Opportunities: NIH will conduct matchmaking sessions that will provide small businesses representatives the chance to interact with NIH Project Officers, Procurement Staff, and businesses interested in mentor-protégé or subcontracting programs.

Registration Opens: 04/18/2010 Cost: $75 for Business Representatives; $200 for Exhibiting Vendor Booth
