Across the Logistics community the challenge exists to sustain forward operating Commands and Organizations with limited resources. Policy leaders are working diligently to create strategies that address the warfighter’s needs and tasking Defense Support Agencies to do more with less. Logistics has evolved significantly since initial operations began in Iraq and Afghanistan. Efficient use of resources and process improvement technologies are no longer simply prudent, but necessary for continued sustainment. Everything from the precise mobility of personnel and materiel to extended asset tracking at forward bases must be leveraged to meet the needs of the Department.
DSI's Logistics and Materiel Readiness Summit will assemble the most respected minds in the logistics community from Defense Support Activities, Operational Leaders, key policy-makers, as well as solution providers from Industry and Academia. In addition to supporting the logistics community, proceeds of the event will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project.
