Government group honors EPA, DOJ projects
The Federation of Government Information Processing Councils today awarded the Environmental Protection Agency's EnviroMapper project and the Justice Department's Bulletproof Vest Partnership program with the 1999 Intergovernmental Open Systems Solutions awards for work in intergovernmental service delivery to citizens.
DALLAS—The Federation of Government Information Processing Councils today awarded the Environmental Protection Agency's EnviroMapper project and the Justice Department's Bulletproof Vest Partnership program with the 1999 Intergovernmental Open Systems Solutions awards for work in intergovernmental service delivery to citizens.
EnviroMapper is part of a World Wide Web site (maps.epa.gov/enviro/html/mod/enviromapper/index.html) that allows users to browse a clickable map to see the effects of pollution in their community.
The Bulletproof Vest Partnership program is an Internet-based system (vests.ojp.gov) that allows law enforcement jurisdictions to increase the speed of funding and delivery of bulletproof vests to law enforcement jursidictions.
The awards were announced at FGIPC's 19th annual Management of Change Conference here.
