Shop cyberbookstore for DEP information

New feature on Pennsylvania Web site expected to shave money from printing and mailing costs

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection last week announced that its fact sheets were available online through a cyberbookstore on its World Wide Web site.

"Before the cyberbookstore opened, customers had to seek out DEP information either through the mail, or in person at its Harrisburg headquarters or one of six regional offices," Lt. Gov. Mark Schweiker said in a release. "Now, the information is available from your home or office computer within a few minutes instead of a few days."

Schweiker said he expects the cyberbookstore to save Pennsylvania taxpayers $60,000 in printing and mailing costs.

More information is available online through the DEP Web site at www.dep.state.pa.us.
