Haines City hires Innoprise

The Florida community will use Innoprise's software for a community development system.

Officials in Haines City, Fla., chose Innoprise Software Inc. last week to replace the city's community development system.

The new software will make community development information immediately accessible to everyone.

In addition to providing online services for tracking city planning, zoning, land developing, licensing and enforcing regulations, the software can also be easily transferred to kiosks and mobile devices. For example, building inspectors could use low-cost wireless PDAs to manage inspections.

The new software, expected to be fully operational by October 2005, will replace a system in place since 1998.

With the city's population expected to double by 2010, the new system will be valuable to effectively manage the city's growth, officials said.

"Haines is looking forward to utilizing this newer and more efficient technology to better serve our customers," said Richard Greenwood, community development director of Haines City. "With one click and without the assistance of IT staff, users can extract information to create even the most complex ad hoc reports, charts and spreadsheets."
