Comstor prepares wireless seminars
The Chantilly, Va.-based distributor, which works with government resellers, will hold the Future Track seminar in eight cities.
Comstor officials will start a series of seminars next month to inform integrators and resellers about the latest wireless mobility trends.
The distributor, based in Chantilly, Va., works with government resellers. Company officials will hold the Future Track seminar in eight cities, starting May 17 in Irvine, Calif. The seminars will cover topics such as wireless mobility, Wi-Fi, next-generation mobile solutions and vertical market opportunities.
"The reason we are doing this is to address what we see is going to be an exploding market opportunity," said David Ambrose, Comstor’s federal business manager.
From a technology perspective, the seminars will focus on Symbol Technologies products. That line includes Symbol’s Enterprise Digital Assistant mobile computers, which offer voice and data communications, wireless local-area network synchronization and data-capture options.
Symbol products are available on Comstor's General Services Administration schedule. Comstor doesn’t sell directly to users through the schedule but allows resellers to represent the schedule to users.
After the Irvine seminar, company officials will hold other seminars in San Jose, Calif., May 19; Dallas June 7; Washington, D.C., June 14; Chicago Sept. 13; New York Sept. 20; Atlanta Oct. 11; and Seattle Oct. 20. The Washington, D.C., seminar will also cover radio frequency identification.
