Cisco appoints federal execs

Fomer Dell exec takes over Cisco's DOD operations, while the company also names a new market management director and director of civilian operations.

Cisco Systems has appointed three executives to its federal organization.

Jim Anderson was named director of Department of Defense operations. He joined Cisco from Dell, where he was vice president of enterprise sales for the government, education and health care segment.

Patrice D’Eramo is now director of market management. She was director of federal marketing for Hewlett-Packard. Steve Hoffman was appointed director of civilian operations. He had been with Cisco’s commercial business organization, where he was a regional manager.
