W.Va. launches statewide IT contract

The program prequalifies 22 vendors to pursue business in certain categories.

West Virginia has tapped 22 contractors to pursue information technology projects statewide.

The state’s program prequalifies vendors to pursue business in certain categories. Collectively, the contractors offer supplemental staffing services in such areas as electronic document management, Web programming and telephony services. When a government entity requires technology services, West Virginia Office of Technology issues a statement of work to eligible vendors.

Potential users of the contract include state agencies, community colleges, counties, municipalities and public schools, according to the state.

The 22 contractors represent a mix of local and national firms. Vendors include Access Systems, A.C.
