Letter: Opening air space won't help travel

Additional air space will only mean more holding patterns while planes wait to land.

Mr. President, since the Federal Aviation Administration will not tell you the truth, I will. Opening more air space is only going to increase the holding patterns. Unless you have built more runways and hired more fully certified controllers to watch those runways, you are only going to create more emergencies from planes running out of fuel from circling in larger air patterns.
