*** FedBizOpps, or FBO.gov, long a primary source of federal contracting opportunities, won't be around after the Veterans' Day holiday on Nov. 12. The General Services Administration reminded contractors in a Nov. 7 statement that it is completing transition of FBO.gov to its beta.SAM.gov site over the long holiday weekend. On Tuesday, Nov. 12 the old site will be officially retired, and all federal contract opportunities will appear on beta.SAM.gov. The transition is part of GSA's Federal Marketplace Strategy that looks to consolidate a total of 10 legacy contract and grant award systems into the single beta.SAM.gov site.
