FCW hosted the Federal 100 awards gala on Friday August 27, which included the announcement of the winners of the Eagle Awards for government and industry and the President's Award. Thanks to all the attendees and congratulations to all the honorees.

President's Award: DARPA's Pandemic Protection Program

*** The Department of Justice announced a three-year Cyber Fellowship program to train attorneys on a broad range of cases that touch on cybersecurity. The program is being coordinated by the Criminal Division's Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section.

*** The House Homeland Security Committee released draft text of a cybersecurity incident reporting bill and announced a hearing of the Subcommittee on Cybersecurity, Infrastructure Protection and Innovation on Sept. 1 to hear from industry on the reporting requirements and other measures contained in the legislation.
