Erica Roberts is a seasoned executive with experience leading change in private sector, non-profit and government organizations.

Currently, Erica serves as a Public and Citizen Engagement Advisor within the U.S. Department of Labor’s (DOL) Veterans' Employment and Training Service (VETS). In this role, she plans and executes strategic external and internal engagement activities and partnerships to support VETS programs, and co-leads communication and implementation efforts related to the Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing (HIRE) American Military Veterans Act, HIRE Vets Medallion Program.

Prior to her current position, from 2013 – 2016, Erica served as the Department of Labor’s (DOL) Director of Customer Service, responsible for identifying and leading efforts to improve DOL’s customer-facing activities. In that capacity, she advised senior leadership, worked on inter-agency initiatives, and led a number of internal employee engagement, performance improvement, and technology/innovation efforts. Erica previously worked in DOL’s Wage and Hour Division for 10 years, serving as Training Director, Acting Deputy Regional Administrator (Chicago), and National Strategic Planning/Evaluation Lead. She recently completed the Environmental Protection Agency’s Senior Executive Service Candidate Development Program. Erica holds a Master degree in Business Administration and serves as the President of the Washington DC Chapter of the National Black MBA Association. She is a certified Project Management Professional.
