Event Overview

Today, we build on early scientific computing successes with machine learning, parallel programming, quantum computing and many emerging technologies. With access to more computation than most could have imagined even a few years ago, scientific computing is used to detect exoplanets, create flood maps around the world, manage nuclear assets and so much more.

But breakthroughs demand the collaboration of the greatest minds in government and industry. From conceptualization to developing algorithms to simulation and validation, partnerships have been a critical component to propel science and technology forward. This event will bring together scientists, technologists and other subject-matter experts to discuss their latest projects -- the challenges and successes – and share ideas for moving forward.

Discussion topics include:

  • Current research efforts and the tools that power them
  • Turning the corner on advanced data analysis
  • Cultivating critical expertise
  • Finding the science in any agency's mission
  • Latest developments for next-gen computing and big data analysis
  • High Performance Computing

This event will be an opportunity to network, share ideas and learn about Big Data, Science and the Cloud.
