If there is bipartisanship on Capitol Hill, it’s around technological progress, as demonstrated by The Congressional Blockchain Caucus. The caucus was created in the 114th Congress as a means of promoting the distributed ledger technology, both in Congress and across the nation, for improved transparency and security. Key tenets of the caucus is to protect blockchain from regulations that could stifle its use, or future innovations, and to serve as a conduit between government and industry interests. The staff co-chairs of the caucus will lead a discussion about where blockchain sits between government and industry.
