James serves as the chief cybersecurity architect for the U.S. Small Business Administration. He led SBA's cybersecurity modernization initiatives which place the agency as a leader in cloud centric cybersecurity. He also led an interagency project in partnership with DHS CISA, proving how cloud native technologies could be used to achieve all phases of Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM). His expertise and collaborative approach led to an innovative design for a cutting-edge Cloud based Trusted Internet Connection (TIC) 2018.
His areas of expertise include Security Engineering, Incident Response & Management, and Project Management. James holds a Master's Degree in Cybersecurity from UMUC and a Graduate Certificate in Executive Leadership from Cornell. He retains multiple industry standard certifications, including CISSP, ISSAP, CISM, and PMP.
