Director of Server Software and Product Security for HPE Hybrid IT

Bob Moore has been in the I.T. industry for over 20 years and managed teams at Compaq Computer Corporation, HP, and now HPE. He is currently the Director of Software and Product Security for the HPE Hybrid IT organization. His team leads the initiative for incorporating cyber security protection technology in our servers, networking, and storage solutions. He is also responsible for the new and distinctive program, Infosight, which uses artificial intelligence to identify potential security threats and optimizes products for performance in our broader portfolio of ProLiant, Apollo, and Synergy servers.
In addition to having responsibility for product security at HPE, Bob manages the strategic software business to include solutions for operating systems, virtualization, containers, cloud software, and infrastructure management firmware. In this role Bob managed a myriad of partnerships between HPE and Microsoft, VMware, RedHat, SUSE, Cloudera, Hortonworks, Docker, and Mesosphere, among others. Bob’s team also designs and develops the HPE software, iLO, which manages the company’s industry standard server products.
Prior to his current role, Bob managed the options team at HP, including server memory, hard drives, and processors. He also developed outreach programs to HP regions and countries around the world that showcased the HP products and technologies.
At Compaq Computer Corporation, Bob lead the server strategy team that drove the multi-year vision for technology direction and products.
As a Lieutenant Colonel, with the US Army Special Operations Command, Bob conducts his army reserve duty at Ft Bragg, North Carolina. Bob has been deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan, rebuilding infrastructure and managing IT systems.
