This joint project between the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, the Defense Innovation Unit and Philips Health was originally conceived in 2018 to explore if non-invasive physiological monitoring technologies combined with machine learning algorithms could provide early warning of infection prior to the onset of symptoms. The COVID-19 pandemic triggered the project team to pivot from a disease agnostic focus to detecting early signs of COVID-19 in military personnel. Learn how the team put in place a screening technology that acts as a "check engine light" for the body and how it has worked in early pilot studies.
