Dr. Michael Valivullah is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at the US Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS). He served as the Director of Information Technology (IT) and the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at NASS and the Directorate of Science and Technology (S and T) in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Dr. Michael Valivullah is a member of the Senior Executive Service (SES) in the U.S. Federal Government.

Dr. Valivullah has spent over fourteen years in the public sector and over fifteen years in the private industry and non-profits. He served the Associate CIO, Chief of Programs and Planning and Chief Enterprise Architect at the U.S. Capitol Police, U.S. Senate. He also acted as an Executive Director (TDY) of Systems Engineering at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Dr. Valivullah has obtained several professional certifications and training including: PMP, CISSP, FAC P/PM Level 3, Federal CIO, Enterprise Architect, SoA Architect, Web & Data Strategist, Big Data & Analytics, Data Quality, ITIL and Data Warehousing. He has been invited to speak on technology topics and trends in the US and abroad. He has also been recognized by several US and international organizations for his public service, accomplishments and IT leadership.
