Wesley A. Wilson is a recently retired senior intelligence officer who served at the National Counterterrorism Center since 2004. In his final position as the Director Office of Data Strategy and Innovation he led the NCTC’s large-scale data analytics program and set the strategic direction for the enabling technology and policy components.

Formerly, Mr. Wilson severed as the Deputy Director for Mission Systems, NCTC’s information technology office. He also led NCTC’s Information Sharing Program Office, and an analytic group in its Directorate of Intelligence.

Prior to his service at NCTC, Mr. Wilson worked at the Central Intelligence Agency modernizing the Directorate of Intelligence’s systems, processes and policies for the dissemination of analytical information. He led the effort that established the IC’s first use of web technology to make sensitive intelligence reporting and analysis available to IC analysts and customers. Prior to his technology/policy work at the CIA, Mr. Wilson served as an intelligence analyst for 14 years, starting his career as a Soviet antitank missile analyst at the Missile and Space Intelligence Center in Huntsville, Alabama.

Mr. Wilson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Auburn University.
