FedRAMP Program Manager of Operations

John Hamilton is the Program Manager of Operations for the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) within GSA’s Office of Products and Programs (OPP). In this role, he works to ensure effective operations of the FedRAMP Program Management Office’s (PMO’s) secure repository of cloud service provider (CSP) authorization packages, CSP authorization package reviews/assessments, customer mailbox, training services, and public-facing website. He also coordinates with FedRAMP’s Joint Authorization Board (JAB), CSPs, and Third Party Assessment Organizations (3PAOs) to ensure all lessons learned from the JAB Provisional Authorization to Operate (P-ATO) and Agency Authorization to Operate (ATO) processes are fully incorporated in FedRAMP guidance documents, trainings, and blogs.
John previously worked for Accenture Federal Services and Booz Allen Hamilton where he served as a trusted cybersecurity advisor for the Federal Government. He provided leadership, strategy, and information assurance expertise to multiple federal partners to obtain, maintain, and enhance compliance with applicable IT policies. He has extensive experience in working to improve program efficiencies and brings a wealth of technical knowledge through working on Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) implementations at DOL and mobility policy development/enforcement at DOD.
