Mr. Morenz began his federal career in 1989 with the Federal Telecommunications Service at the General Services Administration. Early in his career, he worked as a Computer Specialist and Project Manager for telecommunications projects.
John joined the Social Security Administration in 1996 as a Computer Specialist in the Division of Data Base Systems, Office of Systems Design and Development (OSDD).
John advanced through various technical and management positions within the Office of Systems. He served as Project Manager for the Document Management Architecture (DMA) component of the Electronic Disability (eDIB) applications. Prior to entering into the SES development program, he served as the Director of Data Base Systems and Director of Usability, Security, and Accessibility in OESAE.
John became the Deputy Associate Commissioner for Enterprise Support, Architecture and Engineering (OESAE) in April 2010 and the Associate Commissioner in May 2012. He now serves as the Acting Chief Technology Officer for the Deputy Commissioner for Systems, as of April 2014.
John is a graduate of Anne Arundel Community College and lives in Linthicum, Maryland.
