Ms. Pruitt is a Division Director for the IT Schedule 70 Software Category Division, in GSA’s Office of Information Technology Category (ITC), Federal Acquisition Service (FAS). The Federal Acquisition Service provides buying platforms and acquisition services to federal, DoD, state and local governments for a broad range of items from office supplies to motor vehicles to information technology and telecommunications products and services.

In this position, Tonya manages a division of 26 employees and oversees a portfolio of over 1,000 IT Schedule 70 contracts.

Prior to joining GSA, Tonya was a Contracting Officer in the Office of Procurement Operations (OPO) awarding and supporting primarily the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Department-wide contracts for IT products and services. She began her acquisition career with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of the Chief Procurement Officer (OCPO) in the Acquisition Professional Career Program (APCP).

Tonya is an Air Force Veteran where she served during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. She is the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, Non-Commissioned Officer Professional and the Air Force Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service.

Tonya holds a Master of Arts in Procurement and Acquisitions Management from Webster University and Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership and Management from Regent University. Ms. Pruitt is also a graduate of the AFCEA Leadership Forum and the President’s Management Council (PMC) Interagency Rotation Program. She has FAC-C and FAC-COR Level III certifications.
