Paul Morris is a Senior Business Manager for GSA’s National IT Commodity Program (NITCP) for the Office of Integrated Technology Services (ITS) in GSA’s Federal Acquisition Service (FAS). The Federal Acquisition Service provides buying platforms and acquisition services to Federal, State and Local governments for a broad range of items from office supplies to motor vehicles to information technology and telecommunications products and services. As an organization within FAS, ITS provides access to a wide range of commercial and custom IT products, services and solutions.
Mr. Morris was appointed as the IT Hardware Category Manager for GSA ITS in November 2014. In this position, he oversees the management of GSA’s IT Hardware solutions, Client and Supply Management, Market Analysis, and the publishing of relevant content within the IT Hardware’s Category Hallway in GSA’s Acquisition Gateway. Mr. Morris has more than 25 years of experience driving the development of innovative, business-driven strategies for IT and Telecommunications acquisition in public sector operations.
Mr. Morris previously served as Chief of the Business Solutions Branch, as well as Operations for the Region 4 Network Services Division in Atlanta, Georgia, where he was responsible for managing complex carrier solutions for telecommunications clients and acquisition of inside/outside plant and network equipment on behalf of Army’s I3MP Program for CONUS Installations. Mr. Morris has developed a wealth of technical, acquisition, customer service, and management experience across the entire Federal space in both IT and Telecommunications sectors.
Mr. Morris earned a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis on Computer Architecture and Digital Signal Processing from Mercer University, and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Mr. Morris maintains an active certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute.
