Government customer agencies rely heavily on GSA’s telecommunications infrastructure contracts to serve a large portion of the government’s telecom needs. These contracts are needed as a base on which every other technology that supports daily operations and achieving missions is built. More and more agencies use the pre-awarded GSA telecom contracts, including the flagship Networks contracts, to save taxpayer dollars due to government-wide volume pricing discounts and without each agency going through full and open competition. In early 2015, GSA kicked off the GSA IT/infrastructure contract of the future, Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions (EIS), which will replace GSA’s Networks and regional/local telecom contracts. This break-out training session will provide attendees with a valuable early view into how you will be able to use EIS in the future and the benefits it will deliver. These benefits will be available not only to current Networks and regional contracts customers as they transition services in the 2017-2020 timeframe, but also to government customer agencies who haven’t yet used GSA telecom contracts and want to get in on the ground floor to see how you could use this integrated, built-for-innovation with on-ramps, ease-of-use, and cost-saving IT/infrastructure/telecom acquisition vehicle of the future.

The training will cover scope, the simplified task order ordering process with delegation of procurement authority, roles and responsibilities, transition planning assistance, and the portal GSA will have to simplify billing, inventory, and service level agreement (SLA) management. The training session is designed for contract officers, contract specialists, contracting officer’s technical representatives and program managers. Attendees will receive CLPs and come away with a keen understanding of EIS and the benefits it can offer.
