Deputy Director, Mobility and Niche Programs, Office of Integrated Technology Services, Federal Acquisition Service
David Peters is the Deputy Director of Mobility and Niche Programs with the Office of Integrated Technology Services (ITS) in GSA’s Federal Acquisition Service (FAS). The Federal Acquisition Service provides buying platforms and acquisition services to Federal, State and Local governments for a broad range of items from office supplies to motor vehicles to information technology and telecommunications products and services. As an organization within FAS, ITS provides access to a wide range of commercial and custom IT products, services and solutions.
In this role, David led the development of the Federal Strategic Sourcing Initiative-Wireless and the Managed Mobility Programs. Both programs were deliverables in the Federal CIO’s Digital Government Strategy. Presently, David manages these program teams along with the Connections, Commercial Satellite Communications, and Federal Relay teams. David is also a 2014 Federal 100 award winner.
David joined GSA in 2010 after spending nearly 14 years with Verizon and AT&T, where he led industry solution development, sales teams, and government marketing teams. David leverages his extensive commercial background in his approach to program development and management where customer-agency representatives are considered the most critical ingredient for success.
David has an MBA with concentrations in marketing and information systems from Penn State and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. David is also a certified COR. David is also a certified COR. He lives in Fairfax Station, Virginia, with his wife and three sons.
