ABOUT
Military organizations are increasingly forced to prepare for operations where network connectivity can’t be guaranteed and military logisticians cannot send or receive information easily, eroding their ability to support the mission. This is largely due to the fact that previous Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) technologies were implemented under the assumption that connectivity was always guaranteed. However, the conflicts of the last decade have reminded defense leaders that there are some vulnerabilities. At the same time, cloud computing has become a very attractive alternative to on-premise solutions. Military organizations are therefore looking to integrate cloud-based ERP solutions to continue operations when communications fail, while simultaneously allowing them to use cloud computing.
During this webcast, join IT leaders to explore how they are enabling automated logistics processes during disconnected operations while bringing cloud-based enterprise computing to remote locations. They will discuss the similarities and differences between on-premise and cloud-based ERP models, as well as some common risks and best practices when implementing solutions at the tactical edge.
