AT&T names small, midsize Networx partners
More than 40 information technology companies will support AT&T Government Solutions if it wins a spot on the Networx contract.
AT&T Government Solutions has signed up more than 40 information technology partners – mostly small and midsize businesses – as part of its Networx team. The company released a partial list of the partners, which will be on hand to assist the company if it wins a spot on the Networx contract.
Networx, which the General Services Administration will award next year, will be a governmentwide contract for telecommunications and network services.
Lou Addeo, president of AT&T Government Solutions, said the partners that have joined with the company are "an outstanding group of companies with great qualifications and all eager to serve federal agencies.”
AT&T has recruited partners through formal programs, including a mentor/protégé program and small-business industry days, he said.
“We’re proud of the programs we have in place to reach to the small-business community, and those efforts are serving us well as we line up small-business partners,” he said.
Networx bidders are required to direct 39 percent of their subcontracted work to small businesses. AT&T is still talking with other companies and may add more to the team.
Midsize companies on the team include satellite services providers Globecomm Systems and Broadcast International, and call center services companies Aspen Systems and Pearson Government Solutions.
Other midsize firms involved are Go Remote Internet Communications, Information Systems Support, Xspedius Fiber Group, National LambdaRail, the University of Washington’s Pacific Northwest Gigapop project, Geographic Network Affiliates International, Southeastern Universities Research Association, SI International and Titan.
Small businesses signed up so far include 1Source Consulting, Applied Quality Communications, Apogen, Bylight, Century Technologies, Concert Technologies, Dynamic Network Resources, EMW, Federated Systems, HCI Technologies, Hurricane Consulting, Isys Search Software, Mercury Data Systems, Milvets Systems Technology, NetAmerica, Reliable Integration Services, Superlative Technologies, Symfonia, Tech2000, Telesis, TFC, Triumph Technologies, Vencal Global Systems, VPSI, Worldwide Information Network Systems and York Telecom.
In August, AT&T Government Solutions announced the six companies that represent the core of its Networx team: Northrop Grumman IT, EDS, GTSI, SRA International, Global Crossing and Cingular Wireless.
