Hanson is know for the innovative solutions he has provided for Criterion’s customers at the Defense and Homeland Security departments.

For example, he constructed the first miniature low-power, high-performance computing platform for the Air Force for deployment to the edges of battlefields. He also led a team that developed a full-function voter registration Web site so service members overseas could vote in the 2008 presidential election.

Hanson’s skills and leadership were forged during his 20 years of military service, followed by a government career during which he became the Senate’s first chief information officer. “Dr. Hanson’s work is directly benefiting the United States military as well as the intelligence community fighting the global war on terrorism,” said Promod Sharma, Criterion’s president and chief executive officer.
