Fiberlink's MaaS360 enables GSA telework initiatives

The General Services Administration is leveraging Fiberlink's "mobility-as-a-service" technology.

Desktop computers and laptops used by teleworkers at the General Services Administration will be more secure after the agency picked up Fiberlink's cloud-based MaaS360 platform, it a company statement said.

The technology, known as mobility as a service, enables IT personnel to manage laptops, desktops, smart phones and tablet devices in one window by using one system.

GSA is also testing the management of iPads, iPhones and Androids in the same MaaS360 platform to see if it meets security requirements to support its move to Google-based e-mail, according to the statement.
