CIO.gov outage fixed with 'hardware maintenance'
The website that hosts federal IT strategy suffered an outage.
The CIO.gov website was down for more than 24 hours from Wednesday through Thursday, the second such outage in three months, reports InformationWeek.
Office of Management and Budget Office spokesperson Moira Mack said the site was undergoing unspecified hardware maintenance. "We are transitioning to a more robust solution that will avoid such disruptions," Mack said.
CIO.gov's problems come on the heels of a months-long -- and highly visible -- struggle with the relaunch of USAJobs.gov.
