The impact: Berlas’ work saved agencies and industry time and money by providing a solution that could be used across government.
The nuts and bolts: Berlas simultaneously led 12 companies through the analysis and accreditation process, evaluating 296 security controls and leading to the first-ever shared authorities to operate for three cloud service areas. His work also provided lessons learned and best practices for the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, which seeks to save agencies time and money by streamlining the security accreditation process for cloud services.
