Under Schultz's leadership, the Food and Nutrition Service transitioned 25 applications from three locations to a consolidated data center, which will save more than $1 million over three years. His team also launched the first public-facing Drupal-based website at USDA and the SuperTracker and ChooseMyPlate websites, all while providing stellar customer service within the "one call is all" service-oriented culture he has promoted since joining the agency in 2009. He and his team also established quarterly Tech Days where new technologies are highlighted for IT leaders, an initiative adopted as a best practice within the department.
