Lawyers buy Senforce protection

The Executive Office for United States Attorneys will use a mobile security product from Senforce Technologies.

The Executive Office for United States Attorneys has chosen a mobile security product from Senforce Technologies Inc. to protect its mobile and desktop computers, the company announced.

The Executive Office, an organization within the Justice Department, picked the Senforce Enterprise Mobile Security Manager version 2.5 to provide policy-based security, company officials said. The EOUSA, with more than 15,000 computer users, provides policy development, administrative management direction and oversight and other support functions for U.S. Attorneys.

The Senforce technology controls connectivity, both wired and wireless, and protects computers from threats, said Allan Thompson, president and chief executive officer of Senforce. It provides policy enforcement, even for mobile users who are moving around; firewall protection; management of wireless access point and control over which ones individual users may use; management of storage devices; and reporting features.

Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
