North Dakota chooses FileNet platform
The state has declared FileNet’s ECM solutions as a standard for state government agencies’ business process, imaging, records and content management requirements.
North Dakota has installed an enterprise content management (EMC) system based on FileNet technology.
The state’s solution is built on the FileNet P8 platform, which the company describes as a unified ECM and business process management (BPM) platform. ECM products manage documents, Extensible Markup Language files, images and other content types. BPM software helps organizations design, execute and manage business processes.
North Dakota has declared FileNet’s ECM solutions as a standard for state government agencies’ business process, imaging, records and content management requirements. North Dakota is the 10th state to standardize enterprisewide on FileNet P8, according to a company spokeswoman.
The other states that have adopted FileNet are Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Michigan, Montana, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Tennessee.
In North Dakota, the specific ECM suites being implemented are FileNet Business Process Manager, FileNet Content Manager and FileNet Records Manager.
The state’s FileNet-based system stores information such as vehicle registrations, tax filings, flexible benefits records and unemployment applications.
