NASCIO salutes innovative state IT projects
The National Association of State Chief Information Officers has announced its 2006 Recognition Awards for outstanding achievement in information technology in state government.
The National Association of State Chief Information Officers has announced its 2006 Recognition Awards for outstanding achievement in information technology in state government.The winning initiatives were chosen from 139 submissions by 33 states. The programs were judged on length of time in operation; significance to government operation; benefits to service recipients, taxpayers, agencies and the state; and return on investment.Use of best practices, support of public policy goals, assisting government officials in their duties and providing cost-effective services were emphasized in the judging.The Lexington, Ky., group’s awards committee, which is composed of state and corporate members, chose the winners.The winners include: Government Computer News’ .
