Twenty firms named to $7.9 billion network operations and infrastructure solutions contract.

The Air Force on May 15 announced that 20 firms had been chosen for the network operations and infrastructure solutions portion of its Network-Centric Solutions-2 contract.

NETCENTS-2 NetOps and Infrastructure covers a wide range of services and solutions to support infrastructure, networks, systems, and general IT operations. The Air Force is required to use the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract vehicle for any services that it covers; other federal agencies may buy off of NETCENTS-2 as well.

The following firms were announced as awardees:

  • Computer Sciences Corp.
  • Federal Network Systems LLC
  • General Dynamics Information Technology Inc.
  • Harris IT Services Corp.
  • HP Enterprise Services LLC
  • IBM U.S. Federal
  • LGS Innovations LLC
  • Lockheed Martin Corp.
  • L-3 National Security Solutions Inc.
  • NCI Information Systems Inc.
  • Northrop Grumman Systems Corp.
  • NextiraOne Federal LLC
  • Raytheon Co.
  • Science Applications International Corp.
  • SRA International Inc.
  • Telos Corp.
  • URS Federal Services Inc.

    • The award notice said that 21 offers had been received.

    The Air Force has had several setbacks with the various components of NETCENTS-2, including successful protests that forced certain portions to be recompeted. The $5.8 billion small-business NetOps and Infrastructure contract, for example, was awarded in early April to 17 firms, after an initial award in 2014 was derailed by protests.
