Kathleen MadiganEntertainment: Kathleen Madigan, comedian/writer/producer

For those who say there are no good female comedians, they have never seen Kathleen Madigan perform in front of a live audience. A regular in the clubs, theaters, talk-shows and festivals, Madigan has proven to be one of the top female comedians out there today. Dubbed by Jay Leno as “one of America’s funniest female comics,” she is currently putting her comedic talent to use as a writer, producer, and performer on Lewis Black’s “The Root of All Evil,” which airs on Comedy Central.

Since first appearing on HBO in the late nineties, Madigan’s impressive resume has grown to include steady appearances on “The Late Show with David Letterman,” guest spots on “Hollywood Squares” and popular specials such as VH1’s “Best Week Ever,” “I Love the Nineties: Part Deux,” and E! Network’s “101 Most Unforgettable SNL Moments.” This past year, Madigan also lent commentary to the History Channel’s “History of the Joke.” To date, Madigan is still a regular guest on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.”
