SAIC selects NASA help-desk partner

SAIC picks Intellisource to provide helpdesk services to NASA headquarters

Science Applications International Corp. has selected Intellisource to provide

help-desk services to NASA headquarters as part of the agency's desktop

outsourcing program.

Under the three-year agreement, which is part of SAIC's Outsourcing Desktop

Initiative for NASA (ODIN) contract, Intellisource will offer help-desk

services through its IntelliCenter, which was designed by the company to

be a centralized help desk that could service any customer at the agency,

according to Intellisource.

The company also will augment SAIC's services at NASA headquarters with

network server support, asset management and account administration services,

according to Intellisource.

Intellisource already holds a $14 million ODIN contract to provide the full

suite of desktop services at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt,

Md.

ODIN, a seat management initiative administered by NASA, is a 10-year contract

expected to generate $4 billion to $13 billion in federal business for the

seven vendors competing for contracts at NASA's centers and other federal

agencies.

Intellisource plans to compete for the ODIN contract for NASA's Langley

Research Center, Ames Research Center, Glenn Research Center and Dryden

Flight Research Center, slated for award in July.
