Henry Romero, associate director for workforce compensation and performance at the Office of Personnel Management, will retire from the federal government.

Henry Romero, associate director for workforce compensation and performance at the Office of Personnel Management, will retire from the federal government April 1 to take a job with San Diego County, Calif. He will become the human resources manager for classification, compensation and benefits for San Diego County's human resources department. No replacement has been named.

After recently leaving his job as federal chief for Computer Associates International Inc., Otto Guenther is moving to TRW Inc., where he will serve as vice president and general manager of the company's tactical systems division. Guenther is joining the company's systems information technology group in that position on April 2.

Art Money, the Pentagon's chief information officer, has been asked by the White House transition team to vacate his office by April 13, but will likely leave April 6, according to Defense Department sources.

Money wears two hats in the department: CIO and assistant secretary of Defense for command, control, communications and intelligence. He was sworn in as ASDC3I on Oct. 5, 1999, but actually has filled both positions since February 1998. Money has not yet announced where he will go next.
