Amid stepped up security surrounding the Pentagon that has resulted in snarled traffic around the nation's capital, the Pentagon has set up a Web page with information to guide people regarding parking, transportation and building access.

The Defense Technical Information Center's Real Estate and Facilities Directorate posted the crisis information page Sept. 18.

The site (www.dtic.mil/ref/crises-info.html) contains information on transportation, including changes in bus service, parking and access to the Pentagon itself.

The site also has information about the Pentagon's child-care center, which has been closed until further notice, and where people can get help.

The general theme that runs throughout the information: Security has been stepped up and expect delays.

The site is one of a number that have arisen in the week since the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on the Pentagon and the World Trade Center.
